IHMs provide a wide range of courses, including undergraduate, postgraduate, diploma, and certificate programs in hotel management and associated fields.India has 71 IHMs, with 21 Central Institutes of Hotel Management, 25 State Government Institutes of Hotel Management (SIHMs), one Public Sector Undertaking (PSU), and 24 Private Institutes of Hotel Management.Admission to these colleges is based on the National Council for Hotel Management Joint Admission Examination (NCHM JEE), a national-level admission exam for aspiring candidates in hotel management. The NCHM JEE is conducted by the National Council for Hotel Management and Catering Technology (NCHMCT).
